An update!

Baby, it's cold outside! We have had one of the coldest winters I can ever remember, and bundling up became an art form! Ivy looked so cute in her coat, mittens, tobogan, and scarf that I had to torture her with a picture! Thankfully, we have now had a couple of warm days to remind us that winter won't last forever!

Ivy loves her little sister, and wants to be a part of everything...even the diaper changes...

But she definitely has the need for a little "me" time, so we've started her in dance classes. She's been going for two weeks and she really enjoys it! She gets excited every dance-day. Her class spends 15 minutes each learning tap, jazz, ballet, and tumbling. Of the three she seems to like tap and tumbling the best. I have to say that after tap and jazz, ballet does seem rather boring. She much perfers swinging from the bar to stretching! :) Still, she looks cute as buttons!

The week before Christmas we had quite a snow-event! Nearly six inches (vertically measured!) fell on our area. Isabella and I enjoyed having Ivy and Papa home for an extra day, and we made sure to enjoy our time!

Papa shared the sled with his girl...this was the first time it's been useful since Nanny bought it for him 5 years ago!

I worked on a snowman, which would've been cute if the eyes and mouth would've stuck! Since then I've read about using white cake icing to adhere these little parts, and I'll definitely remember that next time!

And even in the snow, Isabella slept. And slept...
And slept...
And slept. She is a good sleeper, and always has been. Just another way that she is different from her sister!
But when she's awake...
She is just as much fun as her sister was, and is, and we feel so very blessed to have her in our family!
And if her smile doesn't light up your heart, this sunset surely should. Whatever have we done to deserve such beauty in life? I don't know, but I'm eternally thankful!

Someday

I promise there'll be an update...I just don't know when! I've returned to work, and grad school, and am trying to figure out how to do all that needs to be done. I know it will get easier, just don't give up on me until I can find time to do this! If you really want to know what's going on, just find me on facebook. Since it only takes a couple of minutes, I manage to update there more frequently (although pictures are still hard to come by)!
