Back on Track

Ok, we're back on track with our Sunday updates as of today. School resumes tomorrow and I know that means the weekend will most likely be my only chance for updating!

Ivy really is just the apple of our eyes! Watching her play with her new piano...

Watching the fun she has closet diving...

Seeing the joy on her face as she tried out her "Big Girl" carseat...

These are the moments we live for and, miraculously enough, she supplies them everyday without even trying. She makes our lives richer just by being here!

9 Months!

Cumpleanos Feliz! Ivy is 9 months old today!

Ivy has been going NON-STOP since we returned from vacation! She seems to have the energy of three babies....now, if only her mommy and daddy felt that same energy!

I usually can't believe how big she gotten, and then I see her beside her daddy's shoe and it puts things into perspective! She's in inspection mode I believe...perhaps looking for a future career interest. Along with the footwear, she's checked out...

music and/or video gaming....

culinary arts....(and the clean-up process)

mountain climbing...

and computer maintenance.

Oh what fun the future must hold!

We're Back! Part Two :)

While in Costa Rica, we had Ivy's Christening. It was a very special time, and we felt so lucky to be able to share that part of Ivy's life with Alex's family.

One weekend was the celebration of the patron saint of Alajuela, so there were parties in the street. We walked up the hill to watch the Payasos dance. It stopped traffic for a majority of the afternoon. Interesting for the party-goers...aggravating for the people in cars. We experienced both sides! :)

We spent a few more days of fun times with the family...

and then packed up to head back home. What a wonderful time we had!

We're Back! Part One :)

What a wonderful trip we've had! Alex finally returned home after 7 years and we were thrilled to watch all of the new members to the family make acquaintances.

It was such a blessing to see them all on the floor playing and having fun like kids do. There are no little ones in my family, so it was a rare opportunity to see Ivy playing with cousins her own age!

One morning Ivy "drove" to the panderia with the Papa and Tito to get bread for breakfast.

On the way to the beach, Ivy's Padrino (godfather) took us to a ranch where there were horses and a waterfall...

(I was afraid to let Ivy get too close!)

While there we had a beautiful (bumpy) trip to Playa Flamingo. Ivy dipped her toes into the Pacific, but she wasn't really all that fond of the ocean.

She like eating the sand, though. Taking this into account, mommy and daddy decided we should just stay at the pool!

Ivy got to spend more time with her Tita at the beach, too.
