There's been a lot going on in the Alfaro home this week. Nanny and Pa arrived on Tuesday and we've had a lot of fun with them!
Before Nanny and Ivy were even out of their pajamas, Nanny was showing Ivy how a camera works...

Nanny also needed a little bit of a learning curve when learning how fast little crawlers get distracted and miss their destination. My mom's reply to why Ivy ended up in a room by herself covered in powder, "Well, she went looking for you!" Ivy seemed to feel that the discovery of perfumed powder was more exciting than finding Momma!

Our little girl has really been busy finding adventures this week. She's fallen into a canvas bin (no picture because she was not happy about it), she's ended up with one leg in and one leg out of the toybox (again, not happy), and she's learned how to stand up in her high chair. The pics don't show a tray, but the tray doesn't keep her from getting up! Needless to say, we'll be using the safety belt from now on!

And now, the title for the post alluded to the most exciting event of the week- Ivy is taking steps! (It acutally happened today, so it's just lucky that I didn't get to post yesterday!) We didn't know when she'd get the confidence...we suspicion she's had the ability for a while now...but today she has crossed that hurdle! She'll take 2-3 full steps between people and she LOVES it when you cheer for her! There's no video, but we'll be sure to put some on as soon as we can!
